History

On Tuesday, January 14, 2003, a truck backed up to the dock at 3653 Industrial Park.  A dozen containers were loaded onto it.  In those containers were 1,200 parts that had been produced by a nearby tube manufacturer to be sold as components of a lawnmower bagger assembly.  They had been delivered a few days earlier to Max Coating to be coated by electrodeposition with a cathodic epoxy paint. The final destination for these parts was an assembly line in England.  What made those parts special was that they were the first parts ecoated by Max Coating and shipped to its first customer.  And more importantly, it marked the moment Max Coating became a member of the global supply chain.

Now, more than a decade has passed and many thousands of shipments have been made by Max Coating from its original location in Birmingham, Alabama, and its second plant in Atlanta, Georgia.  Those shipments included many millions of parts that passed through supply chains to OEM assembly lines for global manufacturers that include Mercedes, BMW, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, GM, Ford and John Deere.  And each and every one of those millions of parts passed through Max Coating’s facilities with the same goal: to produce good parts on time, every time for our customers.
