Max Coating was established in Birmingham, AL in 2003 to meet the growing demand for automotive suppliers needing Ecoat services in the wake of Mercedes, Honda, and Hyundai building factories in Alabama.

Ecoat and powder coat line installed in 25,000 SF building at 3653 Industrial Parkway
2005
First building expansion to 35,000 SF
2007
Shot blasting capabilities added
2008
Parts washing capabilities added
2010
Second building expansion to 50,000 SF
2011
Two shifts, 50 team members
2012
Opened 2nd location in Atlanta, GA, additional 70,000 SF and 30 team members
2018
Converted to PPG Powercron 6100 HE (High Edge) Ecoat
2021
Sold Atlanta building, consolidated Ecoat work in Birmingham location
2022
Three shifts, 70 team members
